Make Believe, a Poem by James Strauss

Make Believe?

by James Strauss

Light bouncy bright,
I don’t even drink,
But I make believe.
Drugs and booze,
Gone down a sink,
But I make believe.
Nothing is truth,
Real is nothing,
But I make believe.
Bliss in my laughing,
Lilt in my worth,
And I make believe.
I do,
I really do,
And so do you.
